Stanley, TAS, AU .  Fast moving tides today, two short sessions,  in the 3rd Channel and the First Channel, with Cookie, Tom Hansen and Fletch from the SHQ team in Vic.  

Dorans, Big gear IS117, Drake DW44, R3 7.8. Going for a 1h straight across the wind, light to start with but got pretty windy towards the end!

Stanley Tas, Had 3 sessions,the first in the third channel for a 2 sec of 37 and the alpha.

Later when the tide came in a bit we sailed the first channel, got similar speeds.

Early evening i went back to the first channel, the wind had picked up a bit and had some nice smooth runs till the tide dropped too much.

Managed to get to Marion in time for the last of the water and probably the best wind of the day late afternoon. Had some good 2S runs near the rigging area including one hitting a really strong sustained gust just when entering the flat water at speed - managed to hang on and get the 2S peak .

Hello World! A late patchy Dorans sail after work. Leg cramp and a sore back to thank for it. 7m OD, 90L Isonic with a 27cm Tribal.

First sail on this combo for a while at Dorans in the reverse NE. Will was out doing a 1hr when Ferg, Hamish and I arrived late in the day. Had a good sail there but decided might try a 1hr to SBay. The guys thought I was crazy and were hedging bets I wouldnt make it. First 45 mins I was easily on track for a PB but as I entered the river I was barely planing. Slowly made it back and made it to a beach well short of where Ferg was picking me. Thanks for the second rescue in as many months Fergus. Might need to stop trying these things. Good day anyway
