AlfaMale (19180km): I don't get out of bed for under 35 kts. Phew, just made it And cracked a 20kt alpha too... now that brings a smile to the dial :) Gusty as all hell out there today. Rigs from 5.3 to 7.8. Boards from 80 to 122L. All were wrong, and none rarly right. But when the wind matched your gear it was awesome out on the river today. 1 hour speed should tell you a lot about how inconsistent the wind was! I spent most time on 7.0 and 90L iSonic with either 33 Vmax or 36 fin. Good times, Good Mates, Good Speeds. Reasonably big crowd for such a weird day. Andrew, Tim, Barks, Craig, and a few others.... plus a bunch of kiters minding their own business. No Jetskis!
Jules (6892km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU. Interesting day at bestic evrything from 15 to 35kn from the south to the south-west. Took Remi's advice with the 7.0m on 92L JP Slalom/36cm fin which proved interesting when the +30kn squall came through. Changed board to iSonic 107L for last part of the session. I think half my distance was walking on the, beach, back to the car, to the Shell Servo for a coffee to warm up!
Andrew (15048km): Sans Souci, NSW, AU || 8-35kt SSW-SW || RRD 122, 5.7 S2 Venom/7.8OD, 44 T-Lab Struggled with the tricky weather front, but the company was good! Rigged some new gear with the help of Barks and Kenny.
Remi Dunoyer (24497km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU Excet RS4-3 - Loftsails RB 7.0 Top day on the water with a couple of comrades braving the conditions on slalom kit!! The early session paid off until it came through at 35+ kts Just need more of days liek this.
George (32558km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU || 15-20 S RS3/ Koncept 6.6/ Fangy 24 cut to 21 Mostly underpowered but good to be out windsurfing at last and catch up with some friends. Fangy fin awesome upwind and in the chop, but a bit draggy in the thick weeds when underpowered, will add some more rake at the bottom. GPSresults gives me a better jibe at 19 knts , not sure why I lost it in ka72. See you tomorrow in Botany !
