Session at Herron Point with Ben and Pacey, was hoping for a NW swing never happened, locally Melville had more wind than Herron today. Looking forward to the travellers result was looking epic this morning down there.

Good to finally blow out the cobwebs. Been so long the first 27 knot run felt fast. Herron point proably wasn't worth the drive. Very up and down and not really NW enough. Great to have Pacey and Boz as company.
Looking forward to seeing better results come in from elsewhere.

That was the storm we didnt have all winter. Started on the 5m overdrive and was lit. Sand bank was about 30cm deep in some places but the N direction made it very rough. The speed runs were pretty much kamikaze style with the 35knot gusts.
I changed down to the wave gear 3.5 sail which i hadnt used since Leeman 2 years ago. As the afternoon progressed i was overpowered even on that! A Sunday Times/West Australian photographer drove past and spotted us sailing. He took a few snaps and told us we may be in an article covering the storm. Lets hope he got a good one.

You little ripper! Thanks to Woodie for the heads up to make the drive to Lilacs. What an awesome spot for flatwater blasting. Having left Perth at an ungodly hour of 4am, I was shocked to see I was the last one on the water from the Perthites and Manja lads. Great crew out with some big speeds to come. Pretty stoked to finally crack the 40knt 2s wall but also very happy with the naughty as well. Good to meet Morts and Shane, Lilac locals.

An epic day starting at 3am for the trip to paradise. Arrived to the keen locals and other day trippers. Rigged the 5.6 and joined Tomski and Stroppo who were out at 7am I believe. The wind wasnt as strong as I expected which made for comfortable sailing in what was awsome flat conditions. Flatchat soon arrived and joined the crew with 40kts to be had. Fantastic to see Flatchat smash the 40kt! Well earned Tim. Thanks Stroppo for the heads up earlier in the week and especially to Lunny who introduced me the the GPS challenge a few yrs ago. You a legend mate.
