Remi Dunoyer (24497km): Kurnell, NSW, AU Exocet RS4 - Loftsails RB 6.3 - 35 fin Rubbish, wind picked up as I was done packing up. Nice chat with the rangers, am I breaching council BS regulations based on the below photo???
Greg Kay (1282km): Sans Souci, NSW, AU Wally LT - typical Westerly........ 29er out, that was it!
George (32558km): Primbee, NSW, AU || 5-35 W RS2/ Koncept 6.6/ Fangy 21 Speed & JP69/ Koncept 5.2 speed/ MXR 45 deg. 22 Water high and no weed, only 31 kms the whole day, lot of time waiting and freezing. I think only once or twice managed to get to windang without falling off the plane. But good fun in the gusts, happy to have Julian with me and see many old friends and some new faces.
Jules (6892km): Primbee, NSW, AU. JP slalom 92L/isonic 107L, 6.2m Severne Reflex, Georgio's special aluminium weed fins. Very gusty westerly, sometimes NW sometimes SW but ALWAYS gusty. Some fun runs to get the adrenalin pumping. My best was actually when I had just changed up to the bigger board with a drop off in wind, the water flattened right off and I man aged to tie into a killer gust. Just needed it to last a bit longer but oh well. Great sailing with George, thanks for all the advice on the location and the weed fins. Lots down today, including Rick, Craig and Jason came up from Gerroa . I haven't seen boards that skinny since the late eighties!!
AlfaMale (19018km): Short blast on the SB115+800 wing at Jarvis Bay, off Vincentia. 5-25kts-5kts again. Offshore and a little scary being alone. Although for safety I had a UHF radio and a flare, and the Navy was out doing excercises in their big foff boat. With helicpoter for support. But it was getting close to dusk. The 115+ has a lot of lift, and I mean a LOT. You DO NOT want to use this Fueselage for slalom so I might need to get a 95+ next. Or keep the AFS :)... How many foils are too many?.
FMX and 7.0 MS TRXI slalom sail cause I'm a whimpy kid and didn't want to use the 8.0 |
