1432 days ago Peel Inlet, WA, AU CA62 koncept 5.4 fangy 22 terrific day- windy, sunny very low tide and lots of sailors enjoying the conditions.. rigged small for comfort and tried some alphas as I couldn’t be bothered to go home and get the speed board. Had a cool time on the 62 and good fun going across the channel. Top day

1432 days ago 3 lucky gusts one after the other /and each gust stronger than the previous gust/ and on the smoothest flattest water, how lucky can you get, was definitely my lucky day today Mistral Speed 95/55 TR16 6.3m Pepefoil 21/48
I wore 2 x GPS's so Whats the ethics on using the numbers from your GPS with higher speeds?
My other GPS had a 40.228 2 sec Doppler, 35.345 5x10sec Alpha 23.657
Right the Ethics are as Follows, The SDop number is the error number of the GPS recording of that run. You use the GPS Run with the lowest Sdop error number. GPS 1 with 2 sec 40.16 had Sdop error of 0.369, versus GPS 2 which had a smaller error SDop number of 0.350

1432 days ago Liptons with Blind Bob and his band of Merry Old Farts. First try with the FF21Speed today. I spent the first half of the session just mucking about, sailing reaches and adjusting settings and trying things out. I knew the fin was quick but I wanted to see how forgiving it was in the chop. It's not as friendly as the FF22, but still very easy to sail in all sorts of water states if you pay attention to your back foot and backhand pressure.
Once I was confident I had that bit sorted I thought I would have a crack at some speed. On my very first bear away my harness disintegrated and I got unceremoniously dumped on my arse yet again. But here endeth the session without a speed run on a day that really deserved some pedal to the metal...Oh well at least harnesses are cheaper than booms.
Highlights were the most excellent efforts at denting the estuary by the Scud, who was narrowly beaten by Blind Bob, who thoroughly entertained with a sensational bouncing bomb performance in the shallows.

7th day in a row and a bloody fantastic one at that. Just loving zipping back and forth with a good go at speed on the smooth at each end, also funny how you think you're doing 50 when you're not. I also managed to keep the peanut gallery happy/laughing with my human skipping stone impersonation, no stuffed gear or injuries but then I've had plenty of practice over the years. Good to see a big mob out with lots of happy faces and some PB's.
