Another holiday another sesh! back to work tomoz but got to live in the here & now in Albany! Had a big one yesterday and was a little slow getting on the water while steve was not struggling at all. I gave the 6.2 a little bit of extra DH curry as it was looking strong & epic. Almost put the 5.2 up as a few others were going for 5.8's and my 5.7 was in Busso, oopsy!
Anyhoo, correct choice & harness lines were bloody perfect (no SluGger around) YAY. the wind was up on yesterday but the water felt smoother with similar depth. Again no Mermaidens due to depth. A few already out and everyone was lookin comfy.
My second go on the JP Speed 55 and first with the Tribal Delta 18. All good with the predictable Dave Heavy Foot Slides but fin behaving & grabbing back when asked. Plenty of fast across the wind with bareing off into the flats. Awesome full planing gybes on both tacks & being twinkle toes on 55 width, crazy! A few very nice ones and a couple of forgetful feet, splash LOL. I saw the guys heading to the NM run, and as they were heading BACK, it must be ok. So off up wind i headed too. Steve was up there & i followed him weaving between clods of foam. Woooho!!! that was ok, frikkin good, FARK YEAH BABY!! That was my fav run of the day, not top speed tho just another Albany eye opener. Plenty of squirts of speed in the flats and I was lucky enough to keep finding bullets. I must remember to count to 10 in the bullets to get max chance at the 5x10sec.
Great to see some learners out there too. very well done in that wind.
Another great Albany trip for everyone that came. Thanks to all!
