George (32558km): Sans Souci, NSW, AU || 12-18 S Naish Micro 131/ Koncept 5.8/ Naish 1400AH front wing. Also tried the 4.7 and 1150 wing with long fuse, but the wind dropped. The long fuse was hard to control, need to try again on a flat day, here the conditions were too difficult: choppy, gusty, current. Had the company of Botany's best foilers: Berowne, Dieter and Julian, as well as Walt , Graig and Karl on their slappers, but it was freezing and I stopped early.

AlfaMale (19049km): Fun session at Georgio's River. Best moment was 4 foils all lined up with me, Georgio, Dieter and Julien! The only problem... my GoPro ran flat about 90sec earlier! :(
Good to see Walt, Fez, Luke and a bunch of Greg's.
Worked on Gybe technique... seems to be better, cracking 20kts now !
Worked on race start timing... 30 sec out, stop, wait a bit, start 30s count down and GO!
Worked on saving out of control moments... lifted by a swell line heading towards a gybe mark in a gust... turned massivly down wind and saved the day, but missed the mark.
Got a bunch of video but the damn GoPro cover fogged up annoyingly. It cleared by the end of the day after the battery went flat :(
Good times! | ||||||||||||||||||
Remi Dunoyer (24497km): Kyeemagh, NSW, AU FMX 138 - Loftsails 8.4 - 44 fin Funny breeze all over the place. Bossman and myself had the bay to ourselves, felt like a Monday! | ||||||||||||||||||
Dieter (2996km): 150 Sb foil ,5.8 +7.3 Loft ,AFS 740 Few nice runs at the end with Berowne , Jules and Giorgio Good to see Walter and thevSt George team zipping around

Jules (6892km): Sans Souci, NSW, AU. JP 135 hydrofoil, 7.8m Loft racing blade. Gursty southerly but lots of good runs. Better than expected wind, I almost didnt' bother coming down. One great run with the 'Foiling Four' (Berowne, Dieter and George) all in a pack heading down river. Then an amzing run with Dieter and Berowne all locked in within about 0.2kn of eachother (yey, I finally kept up for a while!!). Also good to catch up with the GR crew on their home turf afterwards - Fez and Carl, destoying his downhaul. Feeling the impact of the gustiness now though. |
