Windsurfing Nelson (8352km): ![]() Nice and relaxed. FW96, Atlas6.2, MFC20+2x11@1. Atawhai, Nelson, NZ
Mike Sinclair (25206km): Estuary, NE ..SL68 and 7.5NCX, Iwi3 38 fin. Nice nor'easter and not much weed.
Stephen (4800km): Nelson Harbour - High tide. NNE 20knots. Sailed the harbour as the high tide at Atawhai was too low to sail. Wind against tide made for a choppy session. Testing the new KA Race 6.3, with my IS87 and DW34. I sailed upto Ackerstern and the tried some off the wind runs, was finding the trim sticky off the wind. Tried raising the boom, did not help. Decided to jump off and put the mast track back and that is when I found the foot had slipped all the forward! So adjusted it to almost back as far it would go....much better. Wind started to drop and rain clouds were coming in signaling the end of the wind so I sailed back to the launch site ASAP. Great fun on the harbour. 50+ dry gybes so any concern about the RACE sail being hard to manage has been put to rest now. The 6.3 had smiliar low end to my old 6.6 Koncept. Will need more wind to see how quick I can make it go.

Dan (49919km): ![]() Lyttelton Harbour, Nice session on the foil and made the mistake of going to the fin. Two runs on the fin and wish i stayed on the foil. So packed up for another day. . Next time its going to be 20+ knots before i get the slalom gear out..otherwise foil as its so much fun. The new set up is rather nice. 24+ knots and im not dailed into the new wings and fuselage yet. 725/105+/255-2 JP 135, LRB 6.3, FF 79 SB foil, C3 34
Pete (18272km): ![]() Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..Last Saturday's data. Late because I switched both my Motion gps's off on two occasions whilst taking a breather and changing fin's. Joined the 3 stints together using "speedreader" and got myself into all kinds of a tangle with KA72 and GPSTeamchallenge. Exocet 80L/55W, Severne 7.0, Drake 30 & Vector Delta 23 |
