An early start with Ant on a fickle ESE forecast on the manta 66 evo 6.6. Started at 6am in 15-20kts. No wind for an hour 7.30-8.30am and contemplated aborting but stuck around as we were rigged. Went back out in moderate wind and a fast lowering tide till 12.30pm. Got to 200km. No wind from 12.30-2.15 except 15mins of light puff. Rigged the 7.4. From 2.15-3.50pm very short runs from kiters to 200-300m south of carpark. Tide was so low it was almost unsailable as planing out of the weed was almost impossible. Lowest water ever seen at Albany. So managed only 55km from 12.30-3.50 thereabouts. Looking forward to steady wind and more water next time. Never the less, a good days exercise and top company with Ant.
