Albany, WA, AU

Short morning sail from Rushy point.

choppy and gusty. I thought it would have been flatter.

Had to swap fins delta 16 to vector 26

Used mistral 91 and 6.2scr.

Fun session at fangys after late work. Conditions looked great, plenty of flat and 15kts average with some nice gusts.

So went with the 55, 6.2 and 20cm@55. just getting sail sorted and work rang, what's the computer password? Told him the wrong one a few times, before I got my head back into office mode. Then pulling downhaul the mast popped out the top of the sail. I definately checked mast was home when I stuck it up the luff. Must have worked out when I was putting the boom on or something. So I didn't get in the water until Fangy came in. Had Flex and a couple of kiers for company, for a while, then got buzzed by Flex's drone as I was walking back in.

Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU.  Aaah that was fun! A nice bit of wind, sun shining, enough water that you could sail wherever you wanted and out sailing with Lachy. Dumbo Dad went and lost the other gps, so he can't post. He got 29kts on his Garmin though, which was good going given it was a bit choppy and Dad gave him the shit gear! Great day Cool

Fangyland with Cap'n Calm and a few Peskys up at the Creery end.Day two back on the water and another nice short session. I clocked on for the arvo shift, hoping the wind would have eased a bit since the morning's gusty stuff with the passage of the front. For a change I got that bit right and the afternoon on the paddocks was close to Goldilocks for day two back on the water. Again, I impressed my self with the degree of self control, I took it nice and easy with no attempts at a gybe, just a run back and forth with a rest at each end.

I broke out the FF18 V5 which has substantially more surface area than the V4. It seemed to be fine on the Barge, so I am keen to try it with a Flex sized sail, my Avalon 8.4 tomorrow. The only real problem was a lack of seal on the front. The result; at the end of each run the fin base looked like the bikini line from hell.

Good to see a few sails out enjoying the day. Highlight was a chat with Firiebob who I haven't seen in yonks.Cool

Party Barge 310,  Avalon 7.0, FF18 V5

Ronnie, we're coming but Coods is so nice at present and sooooo much closer...Nice sailing with you again Fangy and Decrepit + 2 unknowns.  must have been Firiebob's drone buzzing me then, if you're reading this Firie would be interested in footage as have only seen myself chugging..I think you were there for a few seconds when I was planing??  Pretty good Mike that you can tell the difference from my drone from Firie's.  I'll send you the footage..its scenic but nothing special

Thanks Firie, considering almost chugga chugga conditions your footage makes it look like I'm almost moving...   Fangy..did you know, you can replace the seal on front with car tyre...there is plenty floating around...just a bit further to balance the mass... RSPCA won't be after you either...
