716 days ago The planets lined up today for Boz and I at Coodanup. Steady wind, flat water and sunshine. Very happy with a PB nautical Mile at 73.5 yrs old after having Covid last week. That Paxlovid must be like Methamphetamine!

My first run for Pinnaroos and my first speed run on the 2022 AV-Modena 68 as well as first sail at Melville this year as usually at Pelican Point. Also squeezed out a PB 2 sec. Managed to squeeze this session in my lunch break so very much a bonus to make up for the total lack of wind on the river on Sunday. Also had a few runs on my Severne Fox95 which is really nice in heavy chop but the flatter chop at Melville suited the AV-Modena and this produced most of the faster runs. If it hadn't been for GPSTC I would have just sat around catching up on paperwork!

No Ant No Richo only young Reg to keep me company from the Pinnas😔more later.
Was a day that nearly didn’t happen, Ant txted he was staying local after Mondays poor forecasting and I decided to sail Melville later in the day. It was only by chance I looked at Mandurah forecast at 2pm and it was showing gusting to 18. Only had the 59 Manta and 5.7 in the car as I unpacked the smaller gear out that morning. Pity as it was probably the best conditions this year that I’ve seen Coods. A real goldilocks moment, tide near perfection, wind direction near perfection and the only thing which we all want more wind could have been another 5 knots but it was consistent. Great to sail with Reg, Fangy, Rob and a couple others who I didn’t know.
