Fish Traps or Great Southern Grammar.
The Fish Traps are an Aboriginal Heritage Site so to launch you need to walk out from where the vehicle tracks on the left lead to the waters edge & don't move any rocks in the whole area.

Bit of exploration where I frst started to windsurf as a teenager.
Beware there are rocks & broken tree debris in the water. Scout the area on a low tide to see where before sailing, you do have to walk through rocks to get out. There was also plenty of I'm guessing at something like mullet where I sailed & when I did go a bit further into the deeper stuff did see a decent sized ray.
Now the cautions are out the way it was good spot to sail in a SW on a lowish tide. Wind was a bit up & down but there was a lot of smooth & the weed in that section isn't as heavy as Lilacs. Water was about 35-40cm deep at Eastern end before the sand bank & a bit over 50cm deep at the other end where I was trying Alphas, stoked to get a 25 on the big board
Area definitely has potential, track & weather conditions links posted below

Plenty of wind when I pulled up at Novara, but telling that Snides made a bee line for the shore at the same time.
Terry also came in before I went out, glad I rigged the 7, thout about chucking the 116L under the sail but in the end the 100 was ok.
Wanted to sail with a pointer for a change knowing full well there was shitloads of stringy weed floating around, yep I'm a numpty
Was a fun, nice short session
So nice to finally shake the migraine which hit Monday and joyously hung around yesterday.

LOving the new Tribal. Today was amarginal for a speed board but the tribal was still very easy to sail.Used a FF 18 ish which was very forgiving.

302 days ago Late session, wind not quite to forecast, but it didn't do the late drop off thing. So a very enjoyable session, low tide meant lots of flat water, but also easy to run aground.
I went with the 55cm board, 5.7speed, and 20cm deltoid. Turned out a good choice, fell into a coupls of light patches, but managed to keep planning most of the time.
I made this an hour fitness test, and I'm pleased with the result, stuffed a few gybes after running into lulls and bottoming out in the gravel patch.

302 days ago Was a verrry fun arvo at the fangy farm with a few other adventurers exporing the shalows.
flying-fin . Wind was ok to get me going with the Ka-R5.5, but I think I missed some of the better gusts??
The old reject store board 48wide went well with El50/17cm weedy, and didnt grind it into the gravel pit.

Rig for forecast (bloody lies), end up crowling for 2h, very cruisy in low tide last hr wind shifted more S and pushed up few knts. It was very pleasant. Lot of crabbies walking around, I called it at 6.30. Not too bad after all.
