Goal achieved, top wind foil on the KA72 challenge for 500m earlier in Feb to 50km today!
Been a while since I did 100km in a day, but after going over to K2k for 4 runs which are just over 6k each way, I took an extra half run looking for my sailing buddy for the day Roger. By the time I got to the beach I'd done 69k. I took a break, had a protein bar and chat for about an hour, then decided to go back for a few gybes. I really want to do a laydown gybe on the foil, I got close, but need to get the rig back around REALLY fast. Fell in heaps, but got the sail horizontal a few times! Then I got to 80km, and though, let's go for it!
For the whole day really focused on reducing energy and power consumption, trying to keep the grip as light as practical so I didn't wear out. Worked a treat!
