Stanley, TAS, AU

Good sail apart from broken boom's head and a sail's tear. Was trying alphas, hit the bottow and crashed.

Patrik MA 6,2/Defi 59/MK 31

Stanley, TAS, AU medium strength wind that Stanley was really great fun with the boys today, good jibing conditions but I had to come in a little earlier than I liked  rehooked my harness halfway through a jibe and ended up breaking a Batten but all good

Stanley, TAS, AU

iSonic 60 | MACH4 6.2 | C3 Venom 32

Great day at Stanley with a few of the crew.  Rigged to try alphas and possibly do a one hour (so small slalom board and pointer fin), but the wind was too broad one way for the main run, so just played around do short speed runs and alphas.  The channel is super narrow, so really only just enough to gybe in, which at least keeps the gybes nice and tight!

Great sail at stanley with the crew

Isonic 60, Mach 6- 6.5, Tribal Mk 1- 34

Lauderdale Front Beach, TAS, AU

6.2 Mach5   55W Isonic  30 Drake DWS

Powered up blast.Smile Pretty lumpy out there but the board handled it exceptionally well. Gybing the little board is a bit of a mission.

Marion Bay, TAS, AU

Wind dropped out as per usual. 100L Patrik with 27cm WS and 6.2 OD.

Marion Bay (graveyard)

Patrik 85, M2 6.2, WS 25

Not good tide, wind went from NE to ENE and dropped but never reached promised strength. probably smaller Hobart yachts sucking it all up.

Dorans, ESE which isn't the best direction (very short run and over 80 gybes) and very gusty/not that flat. Went with the 107/7.8 but had way too much sail up for the majority of the session (could have had the 6.2 as it was over 20 knots a lot of the time). Great month of sailing with approx 450km done so far!

Nice going guys. I'ld like to come sail Stanley again, such a fab spot! CoolLooking out for a super windy easterly up there to think about the big drive up.

Be good to see you up here Kazza.  It needs to be from the east, but it doesn't need to be that windy to make it worthwhile, just be there about 3 hours before the low tide and sail until just after the low tide, as the chop on the incoming tide gets up after that.  The channel is only around 80m at it's narrowest (right where you launch from), so not a lot of room for alphas or bear-offs!

I almost came down to Marion yesterday but the low high tide put me off. Doesn’t sound like I missed anything either.

Wow many Tassie speedsters active! Watch out perks, danger danger 😳 I had floppy lines and got hooked halfway through one other day, narrowly escaped.
