Watermans - 4.0m 920 foil - should have rigged smaller. Big lumps everywhere.

Coodanup 18-20 knots, got a bit stronger after 5pm

last time at Coodanup Barry beat me so this time i stole his speed board

i came in to change boards Darryl said it is on the beach so i grabbed it and went out

i had one off the wind run on it and then i could not get it going, i could not work it out

i should have had the 88lt slalom board not the 82 lt speed board  which i stole from Barry

i came back to shore after walking about 300mts through the crabs and weed

Peter came out to meet me and said i think you have Barrys board, i said no wonder i could not get it going

Peter said tell him it is a heap of shit anyway, but if i had not have stollen it Barry would have beaten me again

funny thing is Mike told me when he stopped along side that Barry has a board exactly the same

Coodanup, WA, AU Started out today with stealing Robs 53cm Patrick Speed, with the 20 kestral. I knew that today would be the day that I did NOT cross the boat channel on a fin meant for glassy water. So I stuck in the flats for quite a while. But the lure of the other side grew stronger and stronger, a slow wisper creeped across the water, “Sail in the shipping channel, Sail in the Shipping channel! You won’t spin out.” I subdued that wisper for about maybe half a run at most and I knew that I had to sail in the channel. At long last I was far far away from the flats at Coodanup as I looked pretty much WSW to Novara. I took off hoping my fin would not spin put as I gunned it through the chop. Me being me and sticking to my wisdom I decided big air jumps were my specality today. The lightness of the board to the great thump of three bits of chop hitting the board simultaneously repeated itself for a deal of time until I nosed dived and ate Shiitake Mushrooms. As the nose of the board went vertically down into the water; a great pull came upon my waist. As the board lay stationary under 4 feet of water I moved elegantly through the air with the warm golden rays of the Coodanup sun illuminating the back of my wetsuit. The black mast moved past my face as the black tannin water slowly emulsified my face into an unrecognisable pulp. I gathered my senses and realised my foot was stuck in the strap. This was the only incident in my many runs back and forth between the top of Creery wetland to the point at south Yunderup. Fun day out, however no matter how hard I tried and fiddled with my hear I could not crack the 30knt again today. Great turnout, Maree, Pete, Basil, Ant and Kai to mention a small few. 🍄

Peel Inlet, WA, AU Liptons / Point Grey.

Miss sailing this place. Good to see Stretch, Boz and Elmo showing the speed potential the place has if you can snag the right gust. Best speeds were at Liptons. Best alphas at Point Grey. Happy with the alphas:) As always I seemed to be stuck on 36 with the isonic 76, just creeped into 37. Hence I gave the isonic87 (thanks Fingers) a go for the first time. Still 36's but the wind was getting a little less consistant in the second half. Great sail with a select few. Less tourists cramming the car park and retic keeping the laws greener. reflex6.2, tws25. isonic wood76 then isonic carbon87

Kevin, I was a bit suspicious, that's why I mentioned it. But I chickened out of saying, "but Barry's missing his".

I guess we should blameit on Darryl, why should us silly old farts always get the blame?

Nice naughty and all round session Darryl. Impressive alpha for such a big sail.

Top five Shroom. I think within a year be long and you'll be in the thirties on a regular basis. there are easier ways to make it up to the naughty run but if you can sail chop well you'll nail the flats.

Great speed Kevin. Not sure if it was Barry's board, hope Barry managed a decent sail after searching the beach for his board.

Always good to see you posting Jeff. For a while there you had some beans.
