SRS73 (16662km): Majestic Point, WA, AU Bit of a float around waiting for a squall. Mostly rain in the squalls but I was able to line up a few gusts. RRD 70w, SV M6 6.5, Tribal MK2 36
The Shroom (615km): Over on the far side of town where the wind blows, The birds fly freely and the raven crows. Next to the farmland and salt bush alike, Lies Boombas, which is very dreamlike.
Windsurfers scattered here and there, All destined for a pb it is only fair. Distance was my one to beat. I could not accept its defeat.
Out on the water where chop is a beast, Lurking for you to be its mighty feast. My aggressive 92L JP Freestyle wave, Made sure the chop would behave.
Out near the infamous Austin Bay, The wind booted in I was destined to stay. Short and sharp chop created a difficult start, I was stuck at the point, I couldn't depart.
After my trials and struggles I got on my board, Rain started pelting down sharper than a sword. Chop, wind and rain, didn't stop my speed run of old, When I couldn't believe it, I found my 25knot gold!
After a small crash, the landscape was white, 30knots of wind was to my delight. Alas I was overpowered and all alone, I trudged my gear back as heavy as a stone.
Eyes squinting, this wasn’t a pleasant feeling, Nothing to see since the rain was concealing. Stumbling and losing my gear to the wind, The rain so sharp it made me skinned.
When the landscape was clear, I saw the carpark so near. Even though distance wasn't meant to be. Next time out perhaps we will see.

Gloria (851km): Point Grey, WA, AU Dismal results but at least a record of getting out there. Still struggling mightily and without Waricles help I probably wouldn't even get out on the water...eternally grateful. My motto is what I lack in ability is made up in enthusiasm. Great bunch of sailors out there today! Carbon art board, 5.5 Turbo sail.
Pointman (25732km): Majestic Point, WA, AU Fun fang around at Foilville in an up and down WNW that had some chunky gusts. Hydro 91 + 6.0 + 725 wing. I thought it was fading, so plugged in the larger wing, which ended up being too big, but it was manageable. Had a couple of screamers bearing away the length of Melville Water, so it was a fun sesh. |
