Great sail today with many demerits in attendance. What a great start to the year! I used the i97, Hellcat 6.2 and Drake Slalom pro 32. Seemed to work really well. Conditions were a bit on and off, but I was able to keep going most of the time and get some great runs when it was on.

Nice to finally meet you Michael... Thanks for the ride out to Kurnell and back. It was choppier than I have done it in before, so a bit of a challenge, but great to do soemthing different.

Cheers,

Adrian

Great day on Botany Bay. Tabou Rocket 105, Hot Sails Maui 6.6m Speed Demon and an old Mistral Freemove 32cm fin.

The wind was up and down but wasn't too bad overall. Most of my gybes were aweful.

havent been on here for a while, mainly becasue of little time for sailing.

Also KA 72 just advised me that I need to set up my GPS properly, which I will do.

It wasnt a bad day out finally managed to get my board dialled in with a borrowed fin. So now i know I need a bigger fin I'll start tweaking and hopefully speeding again.  :)

Only powered up in the big gusts, went better when I changed to the bigger Talon 38 fin. Good fun and good to see so many people windsurfing

Good one Adrian, you are taking it to the next level with the iSonic. I'll check the camera and post some photos. I've created a Face Book page for us. I'm not sure if any Demerits are on Facebook or not. I'm not a huge user of it as Facebook is evil. However if there is interest we can start using it as windsurfing is fairly innoculous compared to some of the crap posted of Facebook.

Thanks guys!! Very happy with the iSonic. I seem to have picked up 1-2 knots speed on most things including gybing. I think today just suited me in that I am pretty light (70kgs), and with a board like the i97, it was like a big board for me. I probably could have run a bigger sail but still waiting to sort out my boom so I can run larger sails. I have a NP RS slalom 6.7, and I think that would have been perfect, but could not run it.

I am not on facebook, but looking forward to seeing the photos Karl. You seemed to be going really quick today. Also Artur was flying as usual. Well done guys. I think if we can all get out for a day (including Remi), we could really put in a great session to get us in the top half of the leader board for the month.

It has zero content right now. However if the demand is there we could start using it. It could be used to share ideas, meet ups, photos of windsurfing and videos perhaps, though I prefer to use youtube for videos.

We'll done Adrian, and everyone with recent PBs. I don't think we'll spend as much time down the bottom, if recent efforts are anything to go on. Karl, what is the Facebook group name? I use Facebook purely for windsurfing, not interested in the social aspect. I still use a telephone! Then again I used to write letters too!

I've posted a few pictures of us on the Facebook page. Its probably better to stick them there than here. Look up Double Demerits in Facebook or go to the link above.

I don't think you have to be on Facebook to view the page. Hopefully we can use the page to keep in touch, post photos or video and other stuff. We can see how it goes.

Happy New Year to you all and good to see all you guys out and having fun!

Apparently I no longer have Influenza in my system. I should be back sailing (although a little weak) in a week or so. Have to think of it as exercise

Good to see you posting Des. You get a 2 second jellybeen for your troubles.

Great to hear your recovery too Stuart. Take it easy. It must be aweful getting the flu in summer. What a bummer.

I've posted pictures of the sailing this day on the Facebook page. So if you want one for yourself you can just copy it.

Great PBs George and good practice for Lake George next month however we hope the wind will be stronger and more consistent down there.
