First day sail at the famous Lake George, SA, AU

Very strong winds for me so used the recently purchased Sailworks 4.5m Retro sail and the Cheeky Monkey red rooster and recently purchased BPL 28cm speed weed fin. Initially I was struggling with spinout. Moving the mastbase back around 4cm and moving my harness lines progressively back cured this. Then had a great sail just back and forth as I don't know the lake much at all.

The wind here was very good. Very consistent and strong enough to keep me well powered up on the 4.5m sail. As has been said the lake is not flat, the water is choppy but I like that too as it makes sailing more exciting. The water is flat enough for good gybing. Met a lot of new faces which is great and we are heading for the pub now.

Awesome day, Craig and Karl were here, and a lot of other friendly guys from all around Australia. I've done over 30 knts for the first time, a milestone in my windsurfing career, we are all going to the pub to celebrate now....
