Karl (3279km): Lake George, SA, AU Wow, what a day. As I was using a Sailworks Retro 4.5m sail its appropriate to say we had Nuclear winds today. Heaps of PBs achieved. My fastest run was my first run when I sailed upwind to the top of the lake and then bore away downwind. Scary as this part of the lake, though hundreds of meters to the shore, was quite shallow. Needed to do this so to try to keep up with Powersloshin. A few survival runs after than though it wasn't too bad. A huge dismount before everyone and caught on camera. Most people sailed on the other side of the lake today where the water is flatter though the chop was quite big in the middle. Great to meet more people including a few banana benders. | ||||||||||||||||||
George (32558km): Lake George, SA, AU around 35 knts SE i101/Simmer wave sail 4.2/weed fin 29 The wind was reeally blasting and I was out of control, but I understood that all that matters is that downwind run. I managed to do 6 runs with breaks in between. A totally new experience for me, all my admiration to all the other guys that were handling bigger sails and do 40 knts + runs. |
