Busy Sail today with lots out. Good to see everyone, and thanks for the loan of the harness Remi. I took a mate out today who had not sailed in many years so was keeping an eye on him.

I sailed my i97, 7.2 hellcat and C3 Sting 34. Worked OK, but bearing off down the runway the 7.2 had nothing in it so no great speeds unfortuantely.

Had the bad idea of rigging at the gas station, the chop was incredible, at 5.30 I was too tired and gave up

GPS racing, never really got to bear away as it was a struggle to keep upwind and not much around the runway.

Great to see everyone involved and going pedal to the metal!

It felt the fastest drag racing with Christian and Rick after the 2nd 1/2 hour GPS but didnt have the GPS then.

Hey George,

I was down near the gas station for much of my sail as my friend I was sailing with was drifting down wind, so I just went with him. I was on a pale blue NP Hellcat and grey isonic. I noticed a couple of other sailors down there. perhaps one was you? You can see where I was in the Strava link in my session post.

Cheers,

Adrian

Hey Adrian I had a look at your Strava link ( mainly cos I had no idea what it was) and I am well impressed with the height of your jumps! 😜😜😜

Pity for the near miss, I remember seeing a beginner, must have been your friend, but the chop shook me so much that everything else is blurred...Smile

I mainly use Strava for my cycling, but it is great for windsurfing as it gives you a map of where you have been that you can move around and see how fast you were going at any point. Pity this site does not have that level of detail but would take a lot of effort to do that. Also, you can set segements and try and beat your times!! As George said, there was some big chop in the middle, so 20m jumps were no problem!! Surprised

I am sure we passed close without realising George... we will meet one day!!

Artur good going, your 7.8 beat my 8.6!!! Seems like I should have changed sails earlier... Thanks for the boom end. Wish I could get out there today, seems like a blowy arvo.
