Wollumboula Lake, NSW, AU

A great Gustbusters gathering today! Craig avec the mobile clubhouse, Gav, Keef, Kenny, Rick, Arky and Kids and George from Double Demerits.

I got on the water about 12, and I reckon the breeze was starting to ease at that point (typical!), then Kenny pulled out his speed board and it really did ease! Onya Kenny. Still It was a great day, not bad speeds, finally cracked the 20 Alpha (only been trying for six months!!) and cracked my boom head as well when I found the REALLY shallow sand bank..Oh well I heard that Aeron booms are coming into the country so I think I'l try one of those.

I'm not sure what the deal was but when I got to Wollumboula, Keef was already on the water.....can't quite work out how that happened, I think he got there extra extra earlyWink

Anyhoo, same setup as yesterday, iSonic 87, MFC Delta 17, Sailworks 5.5 Retro. I'll go bigger next time with a new Retro or NX.SmileSmile

Hey Keef, I see you're an even better skier than you are a windsurfer. Was the snow a bit slushy on the 24th and 28th of march?

wollumbula nsw ,wind ssw and an  early start on the lake and a good roll up for the gustbusters , Gav,Troll, the club house , tricky dicky,Arky and the boys ,Alex and Ky, also , CRAIG COLE , aswell as KENNY"on a 5/7', and George

when i arrived CRAIG COLE was fanging on his 7/0 and exocet rs2 and come in and mentioned the 7/0 felt like a 9/0 and was struggleing at times

i rigged the 6/4 evo6 and the jp 50 with the 19cm/47 , i was fully powered up for most of the time but thought i was lacking power off the wind

came in and stuck DEZZA'S  17cm/ 50 in the naish sp80 , the fin looked crooked in the box  , TROLL & GAV LMAO, taking the pi-ssLaughing but had to give it a test after some  mod;s , at first i found the fin din't have any lift to windward  grrrrrr and after a few runs i noticed there was no out haul , grrrrrrrrrrr so locked in the outhaul and whamo lock it in eddy ,

so i'm looking down at the fin and no turbulanse on either tack, so im thinking LMAO TROLL& GAV ,  when i came in TROLL & GAV said whats it with the rooster tail a meter from the tail , well i'm thinking it's not the fin because the tail release was soooooooooooo smooth,

ok then i'm thinking KENNY'S on a 5/7 and changed  to his speed board on and couln't catch me and back to his slalom Yell, so i'm thinking has he stuck a bit of chewing gum on the bottom of my fin and let the outhaul off the sail ,

hey KENNY you were fanging out there and glad you made the trip as well as George Wink

Top day, great seeing all the Gustbusters together and George.Been a while since Alex last used a GPS,he was always 5 to 6 knots slower than the adults.Today it was less than 2 ! Thats getting into jellybeen territory.

Kye had his first day at the lake, his previous 12 days of windsurfing were at Sanctuary Point and he broke the 20 knot barrier ,very impressive and welcome to the Gustbusters

(KA360 posting Kye's first sailing session with a GPS) Welcome to the Gustbusters Kye!  You have made incredible progress in your first season and are a great addition to our team.  It's easy to forget how few sailing sessions you have had because you already look so strong and confident.  The other Gustbuster kids are happy to have another windsurfing buddy.  20 knots on your 14th windsurfing day is unheard of!  Keep on ripping!

nice going Alex , sooooo close to your PB  and not a bad distance considering you arrived as the wind was backing off

Alex i lent my GPS to CRAIG COLE , he had to do a base jump , it's an amazing effort and will be up on youtube soon , as it turned out he forgot to change the login on my the GPS , his REDBULL contract is only $5 per annum so funds are limited ,

Looks like it was a great day at Lake W, with everyone in the 30's!!!

Keith I hope you havent stuffed up the CRAIG COLE fin before Ive had a chance to give it another try...sounds like there was sabotage on the fin and your outhaul by visiting members from other teams, will have to watch out for that...and get them back

thanks Keith, appreciate the KEEF tune up of the CRAIG COLE signature fin. Hopefully there will some wind left over for the winter weekends. The weekend wind stats are not looking too good but at least I have my LARGE 7.8 sail and LARGE 111l board to get me moving in nothing. I will have to work out a way to join the mid week crowd to sail the small gear

no Dezza the CRAIG COLE signature  is looking good , i was surprised to see no turbulence coming from the fin at 30+ as was the problem , i think the rooster tail that troll was seeing is a board issue , i'll give it a final check and hand it over and hopefully some wind for you to to punch out some PB'sWink

Dezza thats a big sail , if you can downhaul that sail with  out a winch ill make you a shallow water fin for it , all i need is for CRAIG COLE  to stick some barrel nuts into the origonal and see how it goes sweed

is it my imagination or is there something wrong with everyones CAPS LOCK on there computer!!!if you all worked instead of trolling the internet at work you could take the windy days offTongue out

congrats on the 7,8 ,but your gunna need a bit more ass if your planning on holding that down on a falcon,i will test the next signature series at the next light day at sanga point iam tipn its gunna be the 26th of april,i think theres a n/easter coming,if not i reckon we pull out the barbie (thats not a code name for kenny)have a few wines or beers and get the tactics worked out for primbee winter pb's

A North Easter in late April, that's just CRAZY talk Craig. The caps lock is because we are YELLING out your name for the new fin that is a MUST have on the south Coast waters this year. I'm happy not to have the hand knitted fin cover, not sure where it's been.

CRAIG the cover is crochet not knitted , i've been trolling through youtube  crochet lessons Wink

CRAIG  got an email from your sponsor red bull  and   have too move the meeting from the 26th april until the 4th of july ,

the ceo of red bull Dietrich Mateschitz will be there  to review your contract and he's not happyEmoji,

as your manager and acting captain of the gustbusters  I suggested you are worth more than $5 per annum

Dezza you might need to keep an eye on the  aussie  $ exchange rate  thanks

RANGA  times are tough mate and maybe  it's time too look for a new sponsor

Craig you're a smart man, timing perfect to be buying NZ goods with Aussie dollars. That's very nice of you to go over there and purchase a team fleet of CA boards so we can all match KEITH, I'll have mine in plain white, cheers

CRAIG  it sounds like your on the rite track considering the average age of the windsurfing community would be over 40

you mite need to change your name to bendover  so it gives a link to the hemorrhoid cream , either way it sounds like a good side line with a muffin and coffeeLaughing
