Full day of sailing in 20-25 knots.  Sailed one full double-elimination round of slalom and then the Freerace.  Wind was a little light at times and there was quite a bit of weed on the course, which made it a bit difficult without a weed fin.  Heaps of sailors out enjoying the great conditions, with some serious, flat-out slalom racing.

Pitt Water, TAS, AU. Isonic 87, Volt 2 32cm and ODR5 6.2.

Super crazy windy. Couldnt sail most of the time because it was as windy as I have ever seen Pittwater. Fergus had the 5.6 OD so I had to battle it out with the 6.2. Gusting over 40 knots at times and walls of white water and whirly winds everywhere. Managed a few runs in between the insanity. Fergus got out on his new speed board and loved it (thanks Russ). Well done to Easty and Russ for sticking around for so long. Also a gutsy effort Ferg for getting a few runs in that wind, good job.

Yes Steve, that was pretty insane! 

I had to wimp away, all that standing around in my very holey booties and 3/2 wettie caused my feet to go numb - couldn't feel them to get in the straps! Was pretty speccy watching the water flying around though!

6.2 OD R6  97 iSonic  34 Sting ll

First day Freerace at the GI Nats. There was green algae weed on the course that kept getting wrapped around the fin, so had to stop a fair bit to get it off as it really slowed you down. Everyone else was in the same vote except for those with weed fins. Who would have thought you needed weed fins on GI!!

Dorans, TAS, AU  Late afternoon sail, challenging gusty conditions, just starting to feel comfortable with the bullet gusts as it began to get dark. F2 FSW 87, Gun Hammer 4.7, NS Maui Freestyle 25cm.
