S-bend at Fangy's with Impaler, Captain Calm and a couple of Nannas.  Vintage Mistral  Screamer. Ka Koncept 7.5 & Delta 21. I will post more later, but the afternoon went from groveling to overpowered in a short space of time. Very happy with this speed as it's the fastest the old Missy Screamer has ever clocked on the dial. I also tried, for the first time, the even older Mistral Edge and clocked my three next fastest runs on that - complete with a hole in the main panel thanks to a trip over the handlebars out the back.

Coodanup, WA, AU  JP MR 118, 6.3 Gaastra Vapor, 21 Delta

Wind came in with a vengence at 4pm and hopelessly overboarded. Struggled to keep the board on the water -probably more to do with fitness than physics but had fun anyway. Stroppo and Duffy looked to be flat out in Fangland. Fangy and Captain sailed for the team..

Same as Fangy underpowered initially with the 6.3 KA race on the 53cm board with 21cm deltoid. Then too overpowered to be comfortable, so changed to the 5.8 on the 48 and gave the new 18cm 50deg starboard assy it's maiden voyage. Totally wrapped, fin works great even in the chop, especially on starboard where it has heeps of lift. Port is a different matter, needs a high angle of attack to generate any lift, consequently my speed runs gained, but my alphas suffered.

Nice to catch up with the impaler, I think he brought the wind in by rigging an 8m, although it could have been duffy's 7 that did it, by the time strop got out there it was starting to die again.

The GW52 had a peak speed of 36.8, but looking at the numbers there are 9 low to mid 35s and only one 36, have to learn to expect to drop more than a knot between max and 2s with this unit, seems more exagerated in choppy water, I wonder if the 5hz is quick enough to be affected by chop induced speed changes????

OK here's the xperia logit numbers.

2s 35.475

5x10 32.192

hr 10.023

alpha 23.428

NM 20.967

distance 47.26

Again quite close, allowing for the 0.5kt resolution of the xperia.

Good work lads. Fangy, glad to see you took Gran'ma off the shelf and onto the water....good speeds too. Great to hear Vlad was out and about but, again, Capt'n Cake takes the biscuit. Congrats Skipper! All of you will need a major refuel, big zzzz's and out early tomorrow. Vlad, you might need an evening massage if your muscles are brokenWink  Go the Mob.
