Melville Beach, WA, AU 7.9 Vapor 188 JP MR 30 weed
Couldnt make to Magic carpet, Mai tais and kumbaya with the rest of MM - expecting big things from you mob, fairly stonking up here. Certainly more than anticipated hence somewhat overpowered in all categories but kept thinking that it would die off and I would be livin the Kiwi dream. Decided to power on and get my windsurfing fitness up to scratch in one session rather than change down to something more sensible like a pair of hush puppies..
I'll call it a work in progress - solid, unexpected sea breeze in September, rock on summer!
Some lumpy goodness today, probably not the brightest idea as I've had a blinder of a headache all day
Decided to flag it when I realised that I was saling along with my eyes closed a fair bit, ok to joke about, but in practicle terms probably not an overly smart idea.
Happy to get a couple of runs out to the platform

Fangy's grooving in the smooth. Another relaxing arvo with Pepe, Decrepit, AC1, Fin, Tug(and sprog)and later Ken.
I started on the QEII , Ka Koncept 7.5, Delta 24 and finished on the vintage Missy screamer, Delta21. Hooked into one super little gust later in the day when I was in the smooth, Top Ten Fangy Day right there.
Post more later - social engagements again...
In the meantime: I tried a different angle today, but didnt get the effect I wanted. Just a short snippet to give you an idea of Fangy's today.

A nice quiet Saturday. Only got out late but there was still a bit of wind blowing over the smooth. I think most people come in while I was rigging. Past Fangy on my first run, think he was heading in. Fin spent some time out with me in the late afternoon and we sailed until sunset. My numbers don't show how fun it was sailing in the smooth again.

Another fun arvo at fangys with the usual crew,. I got on the water about three and sailed until 5:30 and wached the sun go down
over the estuary with Oaf as we packed up. I think I have the gps logit and fone sorted as the speeds are cuming out clearly
and the tunes are playing in the background,... BUT somthing is of a bit, I think, as I heard a 31.3 and a 31.34 was
on the display, as was a max speed of 31.56 ,... well who knows??? Anyways, I used the f2 SX-R 58, ka kon5.8 and
20cm weedy47.
It was a good day in the smoooth & sunshine

Another great Fangys session, the only dissapointment being the phone gave me a 31.5 2s, haven't got time to investigate now, have to go out.
More tomorrow.
Used the 6.3, 53 and not my best fin at the moment the 21cm 55deg, I was spinning out a lot with this fin, it needs modifying, question is how?
Had a look at the phone data, and there's a 32kt max, but it's where the statelites numbers have changed down to 4 and back up to 10. This is down to the xperia's poor sensetivity
The rest of the numbers aren't too bad, except the alphas are different. the Gw52 goes too wide for the phone's 21.7.
2s 31.587
5x10 27.982
hr 18.933
alpha 21.703
nm 27.133

Coodanup, WA, AU Just a little sail on Saturday, Offspring's Birthday and he wanted to try out the birthday present. A quick sail for me, over done on the 141 Carve and Pryde 8.2 Hornet waiting for the breeze to die. Should have changed down but decidd the Offspring had pulled his sail up enough on the birthday present (Excocet 105L) and gave him the 141. On the 3m Kids rig - he took off, fourth time out. Bugger, going to have to buy him a harness soon. Anyway, not great results to help the team but a great afternoon on the water with the offspring. A couple more session with the rest of the birthday present and he will need an avatar name.
