Well, I took a gamble and headed to Budgie when the the charts started to nudge mid 20s on Botany. The forecast was, for once, perfect. I arrived at 1pm and it was just starting to kick in. The 7.3 was fully loaded up in some of the bigger gusts and for some silly reason I decided to go for 50klms. Hats off to everyone who sails so far... my arms were like killer pythons on the drive home :P
Not many on the water.... Byron had just packed up and Sue wasn't far behind so I had the place to myself for 30 minutes or so and then Matt and a couple other locals turned up to keep me company.
That was one of the best days on the water I've had. Good decision to head North. Really pleased to have survived 50klms and also sneek in an alpha PB (shame I didn't break 23, but that's splitting hairs I gues).
