'Gentle' westerly for Primbee standards, good to get back into proper windsurfing after over 4 months. Super shallow, hard to keep enough speed to jibe. I missed 5 minutes of 30+ squall, was in the carpark having lunch, but was entertained by a couple of kites crashing badly into the trees and a parked car. And to cap a great day I saw plenty of friends: Alex and son , Dezza, Nudie, Terry, Kenny, St. George teamies... | ||||||||||||||||||
| Jules (6892km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. JP Slalom 92L, 6.2m Severne R8. Aluminium fangy fin. First time up at Budgewoi, supoer flat but also super shallow. Could feel the weed catching on the fin which made it hard to get really high speeds. Should have used a bigger board but good fun anyway. Super gusty so challenging to get a decent run as the wind always seemed to die just when you need that extra hit on the briad reach. The Garmin showed 32.3kn, the mini-motion when I download onto the computer showed 32.28kn, then the upload is a full 1.4kn lower - strange. | ||||||||||||||||||
