Sans Souci, NSW, AU. JP135 Hydrofoil, GTR 650/255-2. 4.7m NP combat wave! Packed the car based on forecast of 17kn Southerly, arrived at Georges River to see 26-32kn, white caps everywhere and very low tide. Was daowdling around trying to decide what to do when Fez arrived so went out on the foil with the 4.7m wave sail for the first time. Fez was on a 55 speed board and 5.8mNP relic (I mean legendary NP race sail). Got smashed earlier, several full catapults where I just tried to launch clear of all the gear. Tried to tack upwind with Fez but hit a couple of submerged objects at high speed - not a positive outcome when almost 1m airborne on the foil 

Then got into a better rythym until Fez sailed past me doing his best shark impression to let me know there was a 2m shark that he almost ran over at the end pf the speed run!! (may have been the shark I hit when I was launched airborne at 25kn)   Gybes seemed to improve miraculously after that, hardly fell in at all 

Good learning session, figuring out how to bear away down the wave channels without breaching...
