Quick sail as I got there late and had to go out for dinner. i97, RS Slalom 5.8, tectonics spitfire 30cm. Worked OK, but the fin did not feel as good as the C3 stings. No spinout, just not as controlled and forgiving when powered up.
Really strong at times, and then struggling at other times. Really on and off with some big gusts. Very lumpy. Got one huge gust near the end of my session near the runway, and the acceleration was huge. Never felt that before. But it was gone quickly and then I was backwinded. i suspect that was the 2s peak, as 5 10s runs wiere in the 30-32 knot range.
Great to see Artur and Remi out there. I expect some big results from those guys!!

Exocet RS2 - Mauisails TRX 6.3 - Select Vmax2 31
Didnt have much time to settle and enjoy the big gear, the wind came up pretty much as we hit the water, still did around 34+ kts on this kit (id need to split the file) and then all on the small kit well powered up at times, tricky to find some smooth patches timed with a gust.
Some drag racing with Rick to finish the day.

Bit of an LOL, laugh out loud windsurf session. Its crazy how shallow you can sail with an 18cm Delta fin. Also freaky how flat the water is there. I experienced a new sensation windsurfing at Budgewoi Lake today, the rapid tica tica tica tica sound as the board sails over very flat water with tiny ripples.
Its a great spot for speed windsurfing, really world class. Very long runs on very flat water no matter how strong the wind is from the NE. Makes heroes out of all of us.
Used my Tabou Rocket 105 and Hot Sails Maui Speed Demon 6.6m and a Maui Ultra Fins Delta 18cms. They are brilliant. I had a Carbon Art 55cm wide, 93L board at my disposal but did not have a tuttle weed fin. It would probably have been faster than the Rocket.

Great fun sailing in the washing machine. Using the 5.6 meant I was nice and comfortable in the gusts but obviously lacking power.
