Nice speed Adrian 

Thanks guys... Just luck of the drawer. I was trying down the runway every run, but just had one almighty gust on my second last run (did another to see if I could do it again, but no cigar). I had just put my boom up higher, and it pulled me onto my toes, and I thought I was going over the front, but managed to stay upright for a few seconds of blistering acceleration followed by what felt like nothing as I came out of the gust and was struggling to stay up back winded due to apparent wind at speed.

Great speeds Artur and Adrian, was it all along the runway or in the middle?

It was along the runway but one of 5x10's which was 32. 4 kt was in the middle. Which is promising for future. 

Awesome effort Karl and Artur. I know you were searching for that 33+ knots Artur, so nice effort. That is blistering speed from the Rocket Karl. Wish I had gone up there now, but stayed close to home as the forecast was not great.

Remi, Mine was down the runway. I am too much of a wuss to go for warp speed in the chop like it was today in the middle. I did have a couple of runs probably over 30 coming into the shore as it smoothed out, but I played it safe in the middle.

That is a great 10s Artur. My best was 31.37. 32.4 is awesome.

PBs around and everyone flying, but it is such a good month that nothing from today improved our score!!

Good to see you today and glad you had fun, you should have asked about a tuttle fin as there would have been lots around!

Sparky, this time last year, getting close to 30 knots 2S would have been a great result. I know I was happy if I got around 30 in a NEster. However with new team members, and new equipment, it seems the bar has been lifted by a substantial margin. I think if you had more sail up you would have been up there with Artur and I, but I have to say I can't see that we will ever get up with Remi!! The team is punching with the quicker NSW teams now. I suspect a day trip to Budgewoi on a good day would have us competing with other states also.

Karl, Interested in your thoughts on the MUF Delta 18cm. I want to get one for the i97 so I can use it at Canton/Budgewoi. I was thinking 20cm, but note you used an 18cm. How did that feel. My isonic is wider than your rocket in the tail, so probably needs a little more fin. Planning on using it with 5.8-6.7. 20cm is probbaly good for 6.7, but maybe 18cm is better for 5.8... maybe I should go 19cm to split the difference? Did you buy direct from MUF?

Yeah, thanks for the supportive words Adrian but I'm definitely feeling like captain slow when Remi's doing the same speed over a NM across the middle as I'm doing in a bearaway down the runway..! 

Remi is a freak!! You normally do similar pace to Artur and I and most of the other quicker cockroaches. Remi seems to go 2-3 knots quicker than almost anyone else on a given day!!

For me to get closer to Remi speed would mean taking out more sail (Remi normally runs 0.5-1m larger than I), and then develop the confidence to head off the wind through the chop. Unfortuantely my board is on the large side for that, so I think I will just keep where I am at.

This season has had some belting NEsters. I got my new board because I was finding I rarely got enough wind to get comfortable on my JP FSW 92, but this season I have had the opposite problem where normally the wind is too strong for my I97!! I am looking forard to some light 15-20 knot days where I can cruise on the 97 with a 6.7 in flatter water!! Some of my most enjoyable sailing recently has been on days like last friday where you and I stayed out later after the wind had died back!
