George (32558km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU || 18 -25 with gusts around 30 i97/TR9-6.6/MXR WS-50deg. 26 & JP69/Koncept 5.8/MXR WS 22 Lots of fun once the wind picked up after 12 pm, sailed until my arms fell off, lets hope some wind left for tomorrow, Craig and I are staying here in Budgi.
Nigel (4616km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU PD87, GPS6.6/GPS5.5, DELTA17 SSW 22-36 knots at Norah Head. What a great day!! Started about 10am and it was pretty light, but built really nicely through the day. Sailed about 70-80 klms with the 6.6 and was loving it. Had a 36.8 on the dial and I just couldn't seem to crack 37 though. About 1:30pm came in for a feed and breather. Then the wind seemed to ramp up a notch so I rigged the 5.5 and headed out again. Didn't think I'd go faster with the smaller sail and I didn't until one of my last runs at about 3:30. Pretty stoked. We really needed a day like this to kick the year off. It was great to sail with all the Budgie crew, Matty D, Jonny, Mick, Byron and Sue. Looking forward to see what George and Craig post... George you were looking super fast out there today mate. There were quite a few PBs out there today. So stoked on this session... well worth the massive blisters on my hands. The Double Dees :)
Artur Kowalski (21634km): Sans Souci, NSW, AU Bit of sailing after work. Yep, it was hard work for me today on the water. Exocet RS2, Mauisails TR9 5.5, fin Select31

Barks (3586km): Sans Souci, NSW, AU at St George Falcon 101, NP Hellcat 5.7, Talon 34 Southerly started good in the morning then quickly fizzed out after the rain squalls. No one around. Wind fired up at 12.00pm and then some. Waves were troublesome and after too many unplanned launchings I was stuffed. Should have used the 85 Kombat instead. Wes, Fez and Kenny also went out to play. I did not see such "speedstrip" just moguls. |
