AlfaMale (19018km): OH It's good to be back on the water!!!! I've been overseas for most of Oct and missed the sensation of speed. Eased back into it with some 'Cross Training' at Kurnell. Apparently this will help improve my speed sailing for next time I get to Primbee (according to Remi!). It should have been good down there today, shame I couldn't aford the transit time today :( https://www.ka72.com/DesktopModules/ka72/TrackDetails/kml.asmx/GetFile?tid=290415 iSonic 90l, Select VMAX 32cm were both fine, TRX 6.3 was WAY to big, so switched down to 5.5 and the wind backed off... of course! Still, caught some good gusts and ran with the swell to get over 30kts a few times. Called it a day when the lulls hit < 10kts and i started sinking. It's as scary doing 30kts at kurnell as it is almost 40 at Primbee!!!
George (32558km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU || 15-25 WSW RS3/ Koncept 6.6/ Delta 20, also a couple of runs with KARace 7.1 and with the JP69. I am very talented at picking the wrong moment to change board ! Few bearaways, great day sunny and warm.
Nigel (4616km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU || WSW 16-27kts PD48, HSM GPS 6.6, 50/20 || PD87, HSM GPS 7.3, BP KESTREL 18 Wow, really glad I made the trip up. The water was some of the flatest I've sailed at Budgie. The wind was great for an hour when it first came through, but I was never fully loaded up on the bare-aways. The angle was just right at the beginning and there were some really long down-wind runs. A few more knots would've been good though, but might've compromised the flatness. Had a great time on the speedboard for half the session, but it just got too patchy after lunch, so switched to the 87 and rigged up a size. Tried Matt's BP fin and thought it was heaps better than the delta. Will need to get me one of those now :) Thanks Matt. Stoked to finally crack a 24 alpha. Must've been the day for it... George was doing some really great gybes. Awesome to catch up with all the Budgie crew. Love sailing there.
Andrew (15048km): Narrabeen Lake, NSW, AU 5 to 25kt WSW A 2 hour lunch break, plus Narrabeen was close by. Swung between 5kt and 25kt mutliple times within every minute, so really hard to get set in the harness for any length of time at all. Still it was nice to get wet and set a good mood for the remainder of a working day.
