Sorry Evets & Hardie, no back up from me today, may be tomorrow?

Conditions looked similar to yesterday so rigged the same stuff, 6.6 on tight, 53cm board and 21cm broad base weedy.

Trouble was, wind didn't pick up, justed wafted around up and down, no squall either. Maybe I should have let some downhaul off, but I didn't think it would make enough difference, to be worthwhile.

It was Ann's day today, think she had more fun than anyone, zipping around on her formula board and 5.3 wave sail, especially since it's a long time since she's been out on it.

Really nice to see 2 ladies on the water today having fun!!!!!

Lilacs, Albany : Well the MOJO well and truly returned today, probably because the conditions were perfect for NM's, had a 5 x NM ave of 33.373knots, and that 35kt NM just felt fast the whole way, what a magic feeling, Doddi was here WooHoo, I'll let him tell you his tale, and Steve was here too, cant wait to see whether he smashed his NM PB as well.  What a buzz, I needed that beginning to wonder whether I'd lost it..  Its a magic place this

Fave gear as usual.  TR-7 6.3m, Manta 54, Pepweed 24cm, 42degree rake.  Speacial mention to this fin, I think it contributed to staying fast the whole 2 kms!!  Thans Pepe you're a star, wish you'd been here too!!!!!!!

Lilacs JP54SP RSREIII 6.2 MXR 24 weedy

Great conditions and great friends on the water. 3 pb alphas inc  1 port 1 starboard 25+.

4 pb miles.

Forecast was brilliant but suddenly dropped last night. I did not believe it would change and it was sensational.

thanks for the rigging advice Hardie for the alphas.

C'mon Elmo, I can see you not far off Cool

That was brilliant fun. The NM runs were fractionally shallow so still some drag of fin on weed ( storm surge low today). But what was great was the wind was steady with gusts to top it off.

Briliant NM Hardie, well done and great to see you happy. Wind picked back up later but had backed so NM was closer to the wind so it was great fun, just a little slower.

Evets that is just legendary..that puts you in a very small club of elite sailors indeed. Congrats to the two of you..I think you might have stolen Elmo's jelly bean machine and taken it down there. Very happy for you both :-)

Thanks everyone. It was just great out there today. In the next 8 weeks there will be stronger easterlies. If they line up with good tides even bigger things will come from Albany. I hope I can share in it by it not being on a day when i am at work.

As always NM starts at bottom of screen. Tide today was good, storm surge for miles shows .72 down to .67m

My pb run around 2.05 pm started after crossing the sand, entered run at 33 kts.

at 4 pm It seemed as windy but was slightly more fromthe north so run more square.

Alphas near the top of the image, both port and stbd.

Fantastic stuff guys!!!!

That just shows the how good that place is! Glad there was 2 of you there, to make it all count! Seems like Albany is doing better than Lake George at the moment, next year we may need to rethink.

Fangy, Dot's not going to post, she's not a team member and refuses to wear a gps, but she is having lots of fun, she just loves the long runs in flat water, making most of her gybes, and only getting a little scared when she "goes too fast"

Sammy: glad to hear you are enjoying the evenings as well as the days. The sailing is good here but I would love to eperience the LG spirit one day.

Firie: when you come to WA again I hope you get to sail here when it is performing. It is pretty good Cool One of these days there will be a 30 kt easterly coinciding with a good tide. The numbers will be even better then Laughing
