Lilacs WA

7-8 am ish Iso 105 RSREII 7.8 Pepesuperweed 26@45

Early morning session Drove to Panorama but too shallow there. Back to lilacs and launch from south end as tide very low. Few fun blats across the bay to bring up 12000 kms. Buger, just noticed I am 3kms short. . Wind NE so a bit gusty. Dropped out when I was coming in at 8.15

Probably better this arvo. I may get out.

Doddi was there considering what to rig. Hope you get some good wind come through.

Fin brilliant. Ideally suited to the board / sail combo and the heavy weed/. Thanks again Paul. You are a master sculptor.

245 to 315pm ish

JP54 SP RSREII 6.2 MXR 24 weedy ( should have gone with the pepe 26.)

Quick blast in the arvo with Hardie, Shane, Dale and Glenn. Great fun as it was a bonus sail. HAppy with the alpha after buggering up the first half dozen of the day trying too hard!

That makes it 13 of my top 5s in 2014 and also I pass 12000 kms. A great day.

Lilacs (not Liptons) so confusingEmbarassed Albany, a bit less wind today, wind a more square angle, and more gusty, reflected in numbers.  Just tried for one NM, felt too square and no wind in sail when tried to sail same path as yesterday, so called it, and just did Alphas with steve.  But still a magic place to sail.  TR-9 6.3m just tried it, definitely more powerful than TR-7 but doesnt rotate as nice, have to change my gybing technique, to suit the different feel of the TR-9.  Tabou Manta 54, Pepeweed 23.5cm 48degree.  Hope Glen & Shano enjoyed themselves for the daytrip

Hey Sammy's back!!!! And he called a distance today, target was 300, but wind wasn't strong enough early, I was on the 65 and 29 45deg fin and 6.6 koncept, (thanks Cheryl, I'm enjoying this sail). Only planing 40% of the time. Wind started to pick up about 1400, byt 1500 it was getting uncomfortable on the 6.6 so came in and changed to the 5.8, plugged it into the 53 with the 21cm broad base 45deg, this combo worked well, managed the lulls and gusts nicely. The hr was at the end of the session, between 1800 and 1900, would have been better if I hadn't stuffed 2 gybes. I was starting to get a bit tired by then. Sammy sailed until 2000 when the sun was almost down, so his numbers will be better.

LG - 12-14 then build up slowly to 18-22 at the end of the day.

Thanks Jamie for the loan of the board Cool, thanks Mike for the backup Tongue out, you did fantastic again, great job!!

We was aiming for 300 but we run out of time.. I had to push it to the end to make it, only stopped to change gear..

Stoke 117L/RSEII_7m - Misty55/ 7m - RSR5.8/ weedy 27/42

Good to be back with the MMobs, I should have never left, its not all about numbers Wink

Good stuff you two. That distance work has pushed us up the rankings nicely. Looking at the forecast I am not feeling too confident that Elmo and I can do a decent hour to top it off.- so back into it tomorrow boys and get us a good hour too:-)

Great distance  Sam, congrats on the PB.The numbers are fun but only a part of the experience for me.

Fangy I was hot here too yesterday; I wore my full steamer in the morning and it was quite warm Laughing.

The forecast for yesterday was poor compared to Friday but it still turned out very good. I is worth beaing in mind that when Perth gets really hot weekends with little wind there is often a strong easterly here. And today it will ge to 26 degrees for a few hours. Phew Innocent

Fangy, I am just happy that my alphas, 2 sec and 5x are within 3 knots of Hardie for any one sesion of the year. It has only taken me 6 years in the GTC to achieve itEmbarassed.

Who says I am a slow learner? (Rhetorical question, no need for posted, e-mailed, sms, snail mail, couriered or shouted responses thanks!)

Our war for alpha supremacy will continueWink I may have lost the last 1/2 doz battles and the red fur has a lot of size 8 boot marks around the freckle area, we will continueLaughing

Waiting to see how subtly (or not so) you can slip alpha references into our conversationsTongue out
